Panolam Surface Systems is a leading manufacturer of interior surfaces, including; high-pressure decorative laminates, thermally fused laminates, and a variety of specialty laminates for decorative as well as industrial applications.



We are currently a seeking a Highly motivated, experienced HR & Benefits Coordinator for our Auburn, ME facility.



Responsibilities include:

  • Administers various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance and 401(k).
  • Responsible for administrating LOAs, FMLA and COBRA usage and other issues as required by legal requirements.
  • Consult with employees about eligibility and other issues.
  • Provides ongoing support for benefits and HR team.
  • Process enrollments quickly and accurately.
  • Calculates monthly premium statements for group insurance policies.
  • Reporting for yearly compliance.
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation.
  • Conducts orientation for new hires.
  • Helps interview applicants.
  • Facilitates orientation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Provides excellent customer service, related to the daily HR activities.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must practice confidentiality, empathy, integrity and objectivity.

Education requirements :

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 3+ years' experience in HR with benefits experience.
